Beyond the River. Living Between Water and Land

The volume brings together the contributions presented at the international conference “Beyond the River. Living between Water and Land,” promoted by the Department of Architecture as part of its Third Mission support and outreach initiatives. The publication presents the outcomes of a research and discussion process that adopted the Savio River as a territorial, environmental, and cultural framework. The collected contributions place water back at the center of the debate, in its various forms — from manifestations related to risk to the construction of climatic and environmental well-being and landscape quality.

Il volume raccoglie i contributi del convegno internazionale "Beyond the River. Living between Water and Land", promosso dal Dipartimento di Architettura nell’ambito delle iniziative di sostegno e promozione della Terza Missione. La pubblicazione restituisce l’esito di un percorso di ricerca e confronto che ha assunto il fiume Savio come dispositivo territoriale, ambientale e culturale. I contributi raccolti riportano al centro della riflessione il ruolo dell’acqua, nelle sue diverse forme, dalle manifestazioni legate al rischio alla costruzione del benessere climatico e ambientale e della qualità del paesaggio.
