The article analyses the devolution of the assets of Arian churches in Africa and Italy following the Justinian conquest. In both regions, Justinian’s propaganda grounded the concept of «Arian» (Homoian) in the political illegitimacy of the two kingdoms. Economically, both the Catholic churches and the imperial treasury benefited from the conquest.
