The Notariorum Itinera research centre deals with the sources of the notarial activity, putting an effort into making these data accessible on the web, through the dedicated website (notariorumitinera.eu). The objective of this research is to enrich the data with information about people, places, and objects cited within the notarial deeds, going from the free text to structured data, and to facilitate interdisciplinary connections and relations with third parties, thereby enhancing the accessibility, contextualization, and description of the notarial production. The first part of the research focuses on enriching the existing relational database with new classes that describe the cited entities within each notarial deed. The second part’s goal is to implement Knowledge Organization Systems (KOS), defining closed vocabularies and subject authorities for the terminology of single values, and implementing ontologies for the publication on the Semantic Web. The last part deals with the enrichment of the Notariorum Itinera’s website, to enrich the archival digital library for performing research through semantic facets and with a webpage for accessing the SPARQL endpoint, in order to query the Linked Open Data (LOD).

Abstract
The last part deals with the enrichment of the Notariorum Itinera’s website, to enrich the archival digital library for performing research through semantic facets and with a webpage for accessing the SPARQL endpoint, in order to query the Linked Open Data (LOD).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
