This is the English version of the guidebook to the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica di Bologna, which opened in 2004 in Palazzo Aldini Sanguinetti in Bologna (Strada Maggiore 34). Lorenzo Bianconi has been directly involved in the selection of the materials on display, which belong to the collection of Padre G.B. Martini (1706-1784) was bequeated to the former Liceo Musicale di Bologna (1804 ff.). The collection is in the property of the Communality of Bologna. The Museo della Musica di Bologna is universally recognized as one of the most important establishments of its kind in the world.
