Italian schools after the Second World War, Margherita Zoebeli’s outdoor education and pedagogical innovation in Rimini

The contribution situates the work of Margherita Zoebeli within the historical context of post-war in Italy, in particular, traces the genesis and development of the Italo-Swiss Nursery School “Remo Bordoni,” which she founded in Rimini. Drawing on documentation from the Ministry of Public Education, which classified the institution among the so-called “open-air schools” on the basis of shared pedagogical and didactic principles, the study places the history of this institution within the broader history of open-air education and outdoor education.

Il contributo inquadra l'opera di Margherita Zoebeli nel contesto storico dell'Italia del secondo dopoguerra e ripercorre in particolare la genesi e e sviluppo dell'Asilo Italo Svizzero 'Remo Bordoni', da lei fondato a Rimini, tramite la documentazione del Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, che lo inseriva tra le 'scuole all'aperto', affini per progettazione pedagogica e didattica, inserendo così la vicenda di questa istituzione all'interno della storia dell'educazione all'aperto e dell'outdoor education.
