The paper analyzes the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), established to replace the Working Party Article 29, in light of the GDPR and subsequent European sources issued within the framework of the European Strategy for Data. In this sense, the analysis focuses on the central role now played by the EDPB in the EU architecture concerning the protection and free movement of personal data.
Il contributo analizza il Comitato europeo per la protezione dei dati (EDPB), introdotto in sostituzione del Gruppo di lavoro art. 29, alla luce del GDPR e delle successive fonti europee emanate nell'ambito della European Strategy for Data. In questo senso, l'indagine si concentra sul ruolo centrale oggi rivestito dall'EDPB nell'architettura unionale relativa alla protezione e alla libera circolazione dei dati personali.
