Lo pseudo Bonaventura spirituale

As part of the OPA project and in collaboration with SISMEL, a census of works that can be registered under the pseudo-Bonaventure rubric was carried out, which led to the publication of a new repertory. Under this rubric, a mass of information on ancient texts, manuscripts and prints is collected, resulting in a rather unstable, plural and sometimes contradictory picture. In addition to enriching and enhancing the information that comes from the magnificent scholarly tradition that has dedicated itself to this, the research has attempted to establish typologies of pseudo Bonaventure, showing how spurious attribution is not accidental, but constitutes an authorial gesture, albeit sometimes of a different kind than the one we are accustomed to. An initial scheme of the attempt is questioned by giving a few examples, referring above all to lesserknown texts. In this authorial gesture that inappropriately imposes the name of Bonaventure on the texts, is there something of the author behind whom one hides? Are experiences of spirituality expressed in this pseudo-epigraphy? Are existential and social tensions articulated over time recognisable in it?
