This book will make the results of a collaboration and experimentation that has developed over a period of 24 months available to a wide range of people. This collaboration witnessed our University work in close relation with other two partners participating in the European Grundtvig project: the Association Paysage et patrimoine sans frontière, of Saint-Germain-en-Laye - France, and the Centrul “George Apostu”, of Bacău – Romania. The project, with an important title, “Breaking the Barriers”, intends to promote contact and exchange of experiences and good practices between associations, institutes and research centres from various European countries dedicated to lifelong education of adults. The main goal was to constitute a place of study, reflection and comparative analysis to elaborate common methods about the best tools and approaches to overcome the access barriers to lifelong learning for adults, especially for those with low levels of education.
