Since 2015, a pattern of teen-oriented television series has been developing in Italy which resembles international teen production models. While these series are varied in content, they are coherent in a more authentic representation of adolescence. This chapter analyses the role played by Rai in its attempt to attract teen viewers with a focus on series developed by Rai Fiction for mainstream channels (Raiuno, Raidue, Raitre) from 2015 onwards, which are set in the broader context of public service TV and its teen production.
