The “migrant entrepreneurs” category is not representative of a homogeneous group of migrants and their businesses. How is this diversity acknowledged in the extant migrant entrepreneurship literature? This chapter draws on the seminal piece by Vertovec (2007) framing the concept of “superdiversity” to understand its influence on the migrant entrepreneurship literature, together with additional models and theoretical approaches that complement it. The results present four groups of studies: (1) evidence of superdiversity in migrant entrepreneurs, (2) sources of individual migration-related diversity, (3) other sources of individual diversity, and (4) implications for diverse businesses. The chapter suggests future research opportunities to engage with the diversity of migrant entrepreneurship through relational, multi-level approaches.
