Suoni perduti, oggetti ritrovati: i reperti archeologici ‘sonori’ custoditi nei musei del Veneto

This contribution aims to provide an overview of the musical instruments and sound objects kept in the museums of the Veneto Region, following a year of research carried out as part of the project TeMA - Testimonianze Musicali dell’Antichità in Triveneto: census, repertory and valorisation of their cultural heritage. The intention is to offer an indicative list of the findings surveyed and, specifically, to consider several case studies that can highlight how the realia, in their materiality, contain fundamental information for reconstructing the role that music had for the cultures of the peoples of the ancient world.
