My contribution aims to highlight Nicole Loraux’s theoretical contribution to the study of the feminine and to establish a connection with Hegelian view of Greek culture. Focusing on La main d’Antigone and The Experiences of Thyresisas, I explore Loraux’s critical method, which, instead of merely blaming the apparent binarism of official Greek culture as it used to present itself, investigates the complexity of literature. In contrast to the official political narrative, it is precisely literature that shows the feminine side of the masculine, as the figures of Hector or Achilles demonstrate. Returning to the "Phenomenology of Spirit" and the inseparability of human law and divine law, masculine law and feminine law, the paper aims to suggest that spiritual knowledge is not geistig without addressing the mysteries known to Tiresias.
