Scientific and graphic curatorship of four panels dedicated to the host country (in this case Sweden), conceived as an addition to the travelling exhibition "Buone Nuove / Good News – Women Changing Architecture", promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the MAXXI Foundation and curated by Pippo Ciorra, Matilde Cassani, Elena Motisi and Elena Tinacci. On the occasion of Stockholm Design Week 2023, the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm hosted a stage of the exhibition, which is aimed at highlighting the work of women designers and architects active both in Italy and abroad. Commissioned by the Director of the Institute, Chiara Monterumisi and Claudia Prencipe were entrusted with the research and selection of four prominent female figures from the Swedish architectural scene. The selection focused, for the modern period, on Ingrid Wallberg (1890–1965) and Ingeborg Maria Wærn Bugge (1899–1991), and, for the contemporary period, on Anna Chavepayre and Josefina Nordmark. For the preparation of the panels, original materials were collected from Swedish archives, together with drawings and photographs from the studios of the two contemporary architects. In parallel, four biographical and critical texts were produced to contextualise and enhance the work and legacy of the selected architects.
