Abstract
What is urgently needed is the establishment of a sustainable society whose lifestyle no longer - by interfering - hinders nature's intrinsic capacity to sustain life, consequently reorganising the contribution of the specific fields of knowledge in an interdisciplinary way and in the direction of a renewed science, knowledge, sensitivity and consciousness. While preserving the specificities of the different fields of research, the need to converge in the direction of unity is now understood. This new orientation and commitment of science cannot be understood in isolation from a transformation of the worldview and its implications at the philosophical, political and spiritual (and hence educational) level. A conceptual framework that integrates the multiple dimensions into a framework of unity - connection and interdependence (hence transformation) - raises the question of the non-linearity of life, from which to abandon any obsolete deterministic paradigm in order to embrace a perspective of openness to transformation as a sign of inevitable dynamism and the possibility of “evolution”. In an attitude of openness to dialogue, even the boundaries between cultures can be redrawn. The proposal is in line with the indications of the UNESCO 2030 Agenda with particular regard to the so-called LIFE'S SKILLS that require a training and educational intervention in a holistic-transformative and ecological key. The reference is to the “body” of a community committed to educating and educating itself, raising awareness of the need for an active “so-being” in which to create space and devote time to relationship and care, maturing concrete capacities of attention, observation, sensitivity, knowledge and intervention. The contribution intends to bring attention to some tools, both theoretical and practical, from the principles of the body-meditative disciplines of the Far-Eastern tradition, in connection with the most recent neuroscientific discoveries. Feeling one's body, listening to one's breath, observing one's attention, recognising one's emotions can constitute a repertoire of trans-formation, significant towards a renewed awareness and responsibility in terms of co-bodying and interrelation. How to come to understanding and transformation towards the good, towards harmony, towards peace? How to become aware of the power of body language in communicating participation, sharing, understanding, on the one hand, in generating (for oneself and for others) a climate of listening, tranquillity, security and trust, on the other?
