The present invention relates to an apparatus for learning to ski, which comprises two sliding plates and an element for supporting a user, the apparatus allowing the sliding plates to remain rotatably joined together, to help the user to maintain the angled position of the plates, wherein the two sliding plates have means for rotatably joining together at the front end thereof, there being joined to said plates, with rotary and rocking means, support columns that extend from the sliding plates to an upper gripping handle for the user, said columns comprising means for pivotable joining to an upper hinged connector that joins the columns to the user's gripping handle.
