The call for projects of ProArch Studium 2030. The city of students concerns an area of ​​the city of Perugia known as the Conca. Located north of the Etruscan city walls and enclosed within the medieval wall circle, the Conca has an extension of the nearby ancient city. Once a rural area, it did not invite construction due to the depression that characterized it as a low and marshy area. The study area proposed for this call for projects contains several architectural and urban themes of great interest for their exemplary character in the panorama of city construction. The street, the square, the pedestrian paths, the stairways, the paths and the urban park are the terms of the question on which we tried to reason in order to hypothesize an answer that could be able to articulate places suitable for carrying out the most diverse human activities. Places that should be designed for socializing, living, working, studying or relaxing, with particular attention to the student community that passes through or stops in these spaces every day, which have within them great unexpressed potential.

La call for projects di ProArch Studium 2030. La città degli studenti interessa un’area della città di Perugia nota come la Conca. Collocata a nord rispetto alla cinta muraria etrusca e racchiusa all’interno della cerchia di mura medievale, la Conca ha una estensione della vicina città antica. Un tempo area rurale, non invitava alla costruzione proprio per l’avvallamento che la caratterizzava come zona bassa e acquitrinosa. L’area di studio proposta per questa call for projects racchiude in sé diversi temi architettonici e urbani di grande interesse per il loro carattere di esemplarità nel panorama della costruzione della città. La strada, la piazza, i percorsi pedonali, le scalinate, i sentieri e il parco urbano sono i termini della questione su cui si è provato a ragionare per ipotizzare una risposta che potesse essere in grado di articolare dei luoghi atti allo svolgimento delle più diverse attività umane. Luoghi che dovrebbero essere predisposti alla socialità, alla residenza, al lavoro, allo studio o allo svago, con particolare riguardo alla comunità studentesca che quotidianamente attraversa o sosta in questi spazi che hanno in sé una grande potenzialità inespressa.
