This chapter focuses on the impact of people’s migratory histories on the development of psychotic disorders in order to outline, firstly, a paradigm for social psychiatry. It will then attempt to identify a possible legal response to the demand for justice implicit in this reconstruction. This chapter aims to provide the link between the condition of migrancy and the onset of psychoses, and to discuss one of the fundamental legal–moral questions arising today from the migratory phenomenon: the notion of human dignity and its relationship to fundamental rights.

Abstract
This chapter focuses on the impact of people’s migratory histories on the development of psychotic disorders in order to outline, firstly, a paradigm for social psychiatry. It will then attempt to identify a possible legal response to the demand for justice implicit in this reconstruction. This chapter aims to provide the link between the condition of migrancy and the onset of psychoses, and to discuss one of the fundamental legal–moral questions arising today from the migratory phenomenon: the notion of human dignity and its relationship to fundamental rights.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
