The main focus of this study is a comparative analysis of six different translations of the Tang dynasty calligraphy theory masterpiece "Shupu" by Sun Guoting into European languages. Based on translation theory and cross-cultural communication theory, the author attempts to compare the differences between the original text and its translations by analyzing the translation strategies and effects related to terminology and cultural references in the different versions. The core of this paper lies in the analysis of the strategies adopted by the translators, with a particular focus on the distinction between "domestication" and "foreignization" within the translation strategies of the various versions, and how these approaches impact the conveyance of the meaning of the source text. Using the six translations of Sun Guoting's "Shupu" as examples, this study examines the factors translators need to consider in relation to translation, including referential meaning, pragmatic meaning, and implicit meaning.

Abstract
Using the six translations of Sun Guoting's "Shupu" as examples, this study examines the factors translators need to consider in relation to translation, including referential meaning, pragmatic meaning, and implicit meaning.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
