The chapter presents an important new analysis of the dynamics of selection and commissioning of Attic pottery in Etruria, and specifically in the city of Vulci. The study of the excavation documentation has also made it possible to contextualise the vases and iconographic themes within the context of this highly significant Etruscan city, the foremost in the ancient Mediterranean for the importation of this class of materials.
