The Palmyrene diaspora in Rome is mainly investigated on the basis of CIL VI 710, the famous altar of Ti. Claudius Felix, and IGVR I 119 = PAT 247. The two monuments allow us to reach some conclusions about the Palmyrene identity in Rome and the non-existence of a Palmyrene ghetto in the capital of the empire.
