Modellazione digitale informativa per l'analisi e la rappresentazione del paesaggio urbano.

The representation of architectural and urban preexistences (together with their context) is not even examined in adequate terms today, using modeling instruments and digital databases yet. The communication, classification and evaluation aspects are entrusted to fragmented and not orderly operating procedures, especially related to three-dimensional modeling, widely available but still rather expensive. This research was intended to point out, inside an integrated digital environment, some conditions which can be used to introduce and manage photographic, historiographic and technical documents related to architecture, built through criteria aimed to define geometrical, material, formal and technological values. These aspects, formalized and stored with digital instruments destined to professional activities proper of several disciplines, have been arranged into A.I.M. (Multimedia Informative Archives), used to check qualities and quantities besides a systematic data flow concerning different phases of surveys and building interventions.
