The book chapter is dedicated to establishing the provenance of two Hebrew manuscripts, now preserved at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek of Munich (nn. 209 and 341), which have been indicated as belonging to Giovanni Pico della Mirandola's collection of Hebrew books in the scholarly literature. Whereas the Hebr. 209 bears marks of Pico's, and especially of Flavius Mithridates' use of the codex, the Hebr. 341 poses a significant challenge as to its precise history. It has been suggested, by Giovanna Murano, that it should also be assigned to Pico's library on the sole basis of the fact that at least two of the works it contains, the Commentary on the Daily Prayers by Menachem Recanati and the Sitre Torah of Abraham Abulafia have been translated into Latin by Flavius Mithridates for Pico. I demonstrate, without doubt, after Giacomo Corazzol proved it for the Commentary, that the Sitre Torah translated by Mithridates do not depend from this copy. One of the two manuscripts, the 209, definitely belongs to Pico's library, whereas the 341, even if it used to belong to Domenico Grimani, who bought Pico's library, was not used by Mithridates as his source.
