The article deals with the priestly title ḥm nt, “servant of Neith”, during the Late Period. Although al- ready known at the beginning of the dynastic period, the title became relatively common from the Third Intermediate Period onwards, particularly in the Fayum region. Through the analysis of the careers of its holders, it is suggested here that the title ḥm Nt took on different connotations and meanings over time.
