Analysing electroacoustic music by integrating listening and signal processing

This article aims to illustrate the results of an interdisciplinary research project, started in 2020 and still ongoing, regarding 20th and 21st century electronic music . The main objective of the project is to identify the different criteria followed by listeners while listening to acousmatic music . We then aim to understand how focusing on different musical parameters can determine different perceptions in the listeners , and whether listening perceptions can be associated to the objective data drawn from signal analysis, performed by MATLAB MIRToolbox (Lartillot & Toivainen, 2007).
