Abstract
The ubiquitous presence of medievalisms in contemporary culture makes them handy tools for investigating the behavioral patterns concerning the attitudes of society and the target audience. Even in television serials, the medieval setting has an ever-increasing success, reflecting the effectiveness of medieval myths in depicting themes, problems and dynamics of contemporaries in a remote but still ‘historical’ time. Among them, the representation of gender roles naturally stands out: the analysis of the female in Game of Thrones allows us to reflect on the value models related to gender transmitted to a globalized audience through the key interpretation of medievalism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
