It is impossible to determine with certainty the structure of this Christian epitaph because of its fragmentary nature: Korhonen restores at l. 1 the name of the deceased, Βενέριος (Venerius), οr another Greek equivalent of the Latin names Venerianus or Generosus, at l. 2 the indication of the date of death. For the indication of the date of death, the participle of τελευτάω is quite rare in Christian epitaphs, but a similar structure can be found in some inscriptions from Syracuse and in Catania in IG 14.545 = ISic001364.
