The tauroctony as a star-map is a old but still valuable hypothesis. The theory put forward by David Ulansey about the cosmic interpretation of the tauroctony by the Iranian god Mithras is still interesting, notwithstanding the evident stretching of meanings of some symbols in the cultic scene.
