This paper starts explaining the concept of “everyday creativity” as a property pervasive in routine language practice, and not only a special skill of gifted subjects. The aim of this paper is to introduce a “creativity model” helpful for teaching of first language. First of all it is examined recent work on the creativity theory deduced from the major creativity journals («Journal of Creative Behavior», «Creativity Research Journal» and «Thinking Skills and Creativity») and by the eminent studies of Guilford, Runco, Johnson-Laird and others psychologists. The creativity representation advanced is a 6-mental-operation model, based on the concepts of synthesis, analysis, metaphor, reconfiguration of ideas (or elements of ideas). At last creativity is described like an intentional act in terms of John Searle intentionality theory, i.e. the intentional orienting of cognitive faculties on problem solving.
