The effect a novel method of SiO2 addition into the TiO2 structure has been investigated by means of XRPD, TEM end BET analysis. The results demonstrate that this method avoid the loss of photocatalytic activity which is otherwise experienced during the firing step of silicatic based ceramic products.

Abstract
