This paper describes a tool for the evaluation of the performance of an optical imaging system. It complies with the ISO 12233 standard that sets the specifications for this type of measurement. We firstly tested the software which processes experimental data, using both synthetic and experimental images. We also compared it with other software packages and tested for noise robustness and measurement precision. Finally, the measured performance was successfully compared to designed ones, confirming the reliability of our measurement system.
