Aims of our project are to identify relationships between variables involved in the genesis of obesity in children. Up to date , many determinants are well known, but how they interact remain unknown. Many studies exists focusing on a single determinant of childhood obesity, thus limiting possibly intervention strategy to fight the problem. A knowledge of interactions, will allow to local, national and sovra-national institutions to develop targeted strategies having a common framework but different approaches in different EU countries, being nord countries different from southern countries in cultural consideration of the obesity problem in children.
