The experimental data seem to indicate a quasi independence of the Gruneisen function on temperature at room conditions. However, this is seen to be due to a misinterpretation of the experimental data, which, already at room conditions, show a considerable weight of the anharmonic terms in the free energy. In any case, even if the experimental thermal Gruneisen parameter were rigorously independent of temperature in a range of experimental conditions, this would not grant the temperature independence of the companion parameter entering the Mie-Gruneisen equation of state, or of the thermodynamic gamma itself in another range.

Abstract
The experimental data seem to indicate a quasi independence of the Gruneisen function on temperature at room conditions. However, this is seen to be due to a misinterpretation of the experimental data, which, already at room conditions, show a considerable weight of the anharmonic terms in the free energy. In any case, even if the experimental thermal Gruneisen parameter were rigorously independent of temperature in a range of experimental conditions, this would not grant the temperature independence of the companion parameter entering the Mie-Gruneisen equation of state, or of the thermodynamic gamma itself in another range.File in questo prodotto:
