Ford’ e early writing about the visual arts has often been highly regarded, both by art historians, and by scholars working on Ford. Ford went on to become a major critical force in the modernist movement. Yet there has been no systematic study of the connection between his art criticism and his later literary criticism. This essay argues that many of Ford’s central tenets as a critic of literature can be seen as developments and elaborations of ideas he was exploring in his art criticism.

Abstract
Ford’ e early writing about the visual arts has often been highly regarded, both by art historians, and by scholars working on Ford. Ford went on to become a major critical force in the modernist movement. Yet there has been no systematic study of the connection between his art criticism and his later literary criticism. This essay argues that many of Ford’s central tenets as a critic of literature can be seen as developments and elaborations of ideas he was exploring in his art criticism.File in questo prodotto:
