The aim of this work is to investigate by means of a 3D time-dependent numerical model a particle stream inside a DC non-transferred arc plasma torch for plasma spraying, in order to analyze the influence of the plasma jet cold gas entrained eddies on the particle behavior and to understand the mechanisms that can lead to a fluctuating and non homogeneous heating of the particle stream.
