Cesare Spighi is a prominent figure among the technicians who worked in Tuscany during the second half of the nineteenth century and the first quarter of the twentieth century, but it is in the upper Valley of the Savio river ,more precisely in San Piero in Bagno, where Spighi showed his qualities as cultured designer. Acconding to Spighi, the style should be applicable to the architecture following a logical and harmonic order, thus from the beginning to the final form. Obviously, this statement helps to notice that each stone piece of architecture covers a fundamental and useful function, and the style of a work is strictly connected with the idea of project of the architect, during the conceptual stage of the production, and with the significant presence of the reason, during its practical development.
