The analysis of worldwide contributions to modern creativity studies is presented through a big data analytics approach, based on information extracted from the Web of Science database of scientific publications, for the period 2000–18. This analysis enables to quantify several interesting dimensions: number of publications per region and per time sub-period, principal keywords, areas of research, number of citations, and top journals. These quantities are characterized by comparing contributions in European, North America, Asia, and the rest of the world. Overall, the field of creativity studies is showing a very significant growth, with Europe providing the largest number of articles, and North America receiving the highest number of citations.
