Germanicus had at his side in his not long life some women who were described by Latin sources with essentially negative tones based on their behaviour: his mother Antonia Minor, his wife Agrippina Maggiore and his sister Claudia Livia Giulia. In this paper I try to analyze the role of these female figures in Germanicus’ life and I try to understand the progressive construction of such negative judgements.
