Psalm. 85 (84), 11 had a great tradition in European art between 16th and 18th century, both in celebrating the greatness of political institutions and with some autonomous trends. But the figurative and conceptual dialogue between Justice and Peace is more ancient and its evolution runs alongside the read of European political history. This essay tries to describe rise and fall of this iconography, always thinking on historical and philosophical connections with it.
