The contemporary theater draws from the world fragments of concrete reality on which it bases both theoretcal dynamics and scenic processes, thus allowing professional actors and “social actors” tointeract with unprecedented methods. The result is a theater “of the people” embedded in the conceptof “presence”. Bertolt Brecht’s theater describes a path that highlights previous forms and motvatonsfor the current interpenetratons. In this contributon, three aspects will be taken into account. First, weidentfy the premises of Bertolt Brecht’s turning point in previous debates around agitprop groups ofthe Weimar Republic. Secondly, we will try to examine the statements of the German dramatst in thename of a theory and a practce focused on the “street scene”. Finally, we will evaluate, with a focus onSouth America and Italy, the contributons provided by Brecht to the development and contaminatonof theatrical experiences that embrace the realites of living
