The article focuses its attention on a very successful editorial case, that is Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. The contrastive analysis approach highlights differences in the strategies applied in the Italian translated version as compared to the French version and the original English. This is a particularly interesting publishing operation because the two authors, both Italian, chose to write their book in English, subsequently entrusting the Italian translation to a translator instead of following the path of self-translation. One of the choices considered is the use of personal pronoun "You", which in both French and Italian can become either singular "you" (tu) ou plural "you" (Vous/voi). Analysing translation in a contrastive perspective allows researchers to elaborate socio-cultuial considerations. In thi sense, the contrastive analysis seems to point to how the translations analysed seek to stimulate a new community made of young male or female readers to look at the lives of the women reported in the volume with new eyes and to avoid stereotypes, and how they seek to make this element, which was already evident in the English source text, particuralrly striking.
