Dénouement du monde, du temps et de l'âme. Notes sur Gershom Scholem et Abraham Aboulafia

The article deals at quite great lenghts with the relationship between Gershom Scholem and the medieval Kabbalist Abraham Abulafia. Introducing the French translation of the last course held by Scholem at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in the academic year 1964-1965 it traces the long history of the study of Abulafia during Scholem Career, from the early beginnings in Berlin during the First Wolrd War to the last days of his life in the Eighties. Moreover it focuses on the documents preserved in the Scholem Archive in Jerusalem concerning Abulafia and a peculiar topic, the dissolving of the knots in mystical sense: Scholem quest for a religious-historical parallel in Yoga and a possible mediating link in sufism for this meditative technique is documented and analyzed. The article forms a chapter in the history of research no less than in comparative religious studies.
