The fieldtrip aims to observe the volcanic landscapes of Naples with striking different styles between the nearneighbors Phlegraean Volcanic District (which includes Campi Flegrei, Ischia and Procida) and Somma-Vesuvius Volcano, and to illustrate the associated extreme environments with emphasis to the Campi Flegrei hydrothermal system that can reappraise planetary environments and potential niches for life.
