HD-6 is the earliest Early Bronze Age settlement excavated in the area of Ras Al-Hadd and reflects the results of the ‘great transformation’ that affected the Oman Peninsula and the whole of Eastern Arabia towards the end of the 4th millennium BC. Among the mammal remains of the site some camel remains were identificated, Up to date the new dromedary remains from the Early Bronze Age site of HD-6 represent the oldest camel evidence from present-day Oman.
