In the digital era, the constant accumulation of large amounts of data, including personal data from different sources and subject to automated processing using computerized algorithms and advanced data processing techniques, offers significant opportunities and is essential to maintain competitiveness in the world market and to ensure an efficient management of public activity. If the use of big data provides significant opportunities for Companies and Institutional Agents, they all have raised concerns among specialists on privacy, market competition and insurance sector and more recently the European Parliament which drew up a resolution on the implications of big data on fundamental rights. In this context, the A. deals with risks associated to work relationships, especially examining the incidence of big data analysis at the stage of training, development and termination of employment. Above all, the A deepens limits envisaged by the Italian labour law and evaluates the possible participation of the union actors in the management of problems due to the use of advanced technologies of analysis.
