Triple casts were made of pulmonary arteries, veins, and airways from 12 dogs in order to describe the major ramifications of lobar bronchi and the relationship between them and their satellite vessels. The results showed that each lobe presented a constant division of its lobar bronchus. The airways, arteries and veins ran together with different relations depending on the lobe considered. Furthermore, the measurements of luminal airways diameters and corresponding segments of the vascular trees indicated that vessels were smaller than their corresponding airways, and arteries and veins were similar in size.

Abstract
Triple casts were made of pulmonary arteries, veins, and airways from 12 dogs in order to describe the major ramifications of lobar bronchi and the relationship between them and their satellite vessels. The results showed that each lobe presented a constant division of its lobar bronchus. The airways, arteries and veins ran together with different relations depending on the lobe considered. Furthermore, the measurements of luminal airways diameters and corresponding segments of the vascular trees indicated that vessels were smaller than their corresponding airways, and arteries and veins were similar in size.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
