Abstract

The process of digitalisation underlines the flexible distinction between production and consumption. As a result the ideas and theories associated with the concepts of prosumers and prosumerism have recently garnered a great deal of attention from both the academic, and the "mainstream" world. This article attempts to provide a better understanding of presumption from the perspectives of its theoretical framework, the main characteristics of prosumer activity, and the contradictions of prosumers.
