This paper proposes, in a schematic way, the corpus of Spanish grammars for native Italian speakers published in the 19th century. As we know, this subject has been only partially dealt by bibliographical indexes (Muñoz y Manzano, 1978 [1893]; Toda y Güell, 1927-1930; Palau y Dulcet, 1948-1977; Esparza Torres y Niederehe, 2012). The corpus consists of twenty grammars: Borroni (1812), Bachi (1832), Marin (1833), Blanc Saint-Hilaire (1847), Gaffino (1869), anónima (1869), Catà (1870), Richeri (1871), Manetta y Rughi (1872-1873), Pizarro (1873), Gianotti (1874), D’Ovidio y Monaci (1879), Zuccaro (1881), Schilling y Demattio (1890), Pavia (1894), Pavia (1895a), Pavia (1895b), Coccolo (1895), Gorra (1897) y Foulques (1898). A brief record with titles, editions, authors, publishers and—if necessary—comments is dedicated to each grammar. The conclusions of the paper show a series of qualitative and quantitative data of the records (the number of grammars, the grammars with more editions, the native language of the authors, the cities of publishing, the most active publishers) and a series of general features of these grammars.
