The result of perhaps excessive enthusiasm, it is a description of these revolutions as “children of the social network,” which suggests another look at the revolution that occurred in Iran in 2009. It was on this occasion that mainstream media referred for the rst time to a “Twitter revolution,” alluding to the revolution of the Green Movement against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which failed a er a short time and was violently suppressed by the regime in Tehran.
