The report presents the assumptions and the activation calculation results for all the materials (from the centre void up to the biological shield) in the equatorial plane of ITER. A discussion of the results obtained and a comparison with the former GSSR activation calculation is also in the report. The analysis refers to the case 1) defined in EFDA Task TW6-TSS-SEA4.1 (EFDA Contract 07-1702/1574, ITER reference TA-DRWG2-EU-05) and it represents the milestone 3 of the task. The calculation scheme considered is similar to the one used for ITER GSSR. The FENDL/E-2 transport library has been used for radiation transport assessment to obtain the neutron flux spectra (175-n groups) needed for the material activation calculation, that has been performed using the EASY-2005.1 code package (Fispact 2005 activation code and EAF2005.1 neutron activation library). All the input data and calculation results have been stored in a CD-ROM-1 that have been sent to EFDA-CSU (Dr. J. Furlan) and to ITER-Cadarache (Dr. N. Taylor). A copy of the CD-ROM-1 will stay archived, for at least 5 years, at the ENEA Fusion and Nuclear Presidium (FPN), Nuclear Fusion Technologies, Via E. Fermi 45, I-00044, Frascati (Rome). The report presents also an analysis aiming to points out the effect of updated code versions (Scalenea 1D-Sn, for neutron transport calculations, and Fispact 2005, instead of Fispact 99, for activation calculation) and new activation data library (EAF2005.1 instead of EAF99). The TW6-TSS-SEA4.1 task definition includes also other two cases that will be documented in two further ENEA report (milestones 4 and 5), and the analysis of the implication on the RPrS writing (milestones 6 and 7).
