The article discusses the thesis of the book by Lambert Wiesing, Mich der Wahrnehmung. Eine Autopsie (Italian edition, Il Me della percezione, 2015). The text on the perception is divided into four parts and aims to clear the ground of philosophical myths and outdated models, to present its original phenomenological perspective, to affirm a new relational conception of the problem and to show the consequences in the context of iconic perception. The centerpiece of this proposal is a description of three possible scenarios or "constellations" of the relationship between the perceiver, perceived, and perception, or between subject, object and perception, and the gradual transition of leadership in them by one of the positional elements (perceived or perceiver) to the procedural element (perception).
